ICIC working
program: The broad lines
of the ICIC periodical work program during the following period
includes the following:
1- Contacts: 1-1- The
continuation of communicating the general secretariat of the OIC
on the purpose of co-ordination and co-operation as regards the
questions related to the tasks of the committee and achieving
its objectives. 1-2- Making contacts with the member states of the
organization which haven`t signed or ratified the agreement of
establishing the ICIC to speed up joining the agreement. 1-3- The continuation of communicating the specialized
institutions and organizations belonging to the OIC on the
purpose of having co-ordination and co-operation with them in
executing the program of humanitarian aid for the affected from
natural and non-natural disasters, the victims of wars and armed
disputes, the refugees and the displaced people in the Islamic
World. 1-4- Establishing co-operative relationships with the
interested governmental and non-governmental organizations in
the fields of humanitarian work.

Information:
Taking action to
make known the ICIC and its activities as follows:- 2-1- Informing the member states of the OIC the results
of the committee meetings and circulating the documents issued
by it. 2-2- Publishing the activities of the committee
secretariat and to make known the work program which it
performs, or takes part in them. 2-3- Supporting the activities of the Islamic Forum of
international humanitarian law( subsidiary organ Of the ICIC and
its specialized publication "Al-wasiya".
3- Meetings:
Participation in
the following meetings:- 3-1- Attending the meetings and conferences held in the
framework of the OIC. 3-2- Attending the meetings held by the international
organizations and NGO`s in the field of social and humanitarian
action. 3-3- Participating and preparation of seminars on
international humanitarian law and the related Islamic
principles, through the ICIC Islamic Forum on IHL. 3-4- Follow up the recommendations of the consultative
meeting of the ICIC and National Societies of Red Crescent / Red
Cross in OIC Member States.
4- Program and
Activities:
The committee
secretariat undertakes the execution of the program connected
with the humanitarian aid in the limits of the available
abilities, as follows:- 4-1- Taking interest in the situation of the refugees and
the displaced people in the Islamic World and to keep taking
actions on the purpose of contributing in the efforts aiming at
providing the appropriate care for them and the co-operation in
this respect with the concerned international organizations and
the specialized Islamic institutions and the possibility of
finding conceptions for a legal framework to treat their
situations in the OIC. 4-2- Contribution to the efforts of relief in the
situations of natural and non natural disasters in the Islamic
world. 4-3- To continue efforts on the purpose of signing
co-operative agreements with the humanitarian organizations and
particularly with the red crescent national societies in the
member states of the OIC.
5-
Administration and budget: 5-1- To
continue endeavoring to obtain the appropriate support from the
member states of the OIC, and the specialized institutions
belonging to the organization on the purpose of financing the
committee`s work enterprises for the future time and the human
aid program. 5-2- In the framework of the committee`s main objectives,
the chairman of the committee is authorized to take all
procedures and initiatives which have a connection with the
committee`s work .
