The
third chapter of the ICIC agreement tackled its functions which
includes:-
1. Providing
relief and assistance in case of disasters (Article 4).
2. Providing
services and care to victims of armed conflicts and taking
peaceful initiatives in order to solve the resulting human
problems (Article 7).
3. Building up
close relations of cooperation with organizations operating in
the field of humanitarian services, in particular with the Red
Crescent and Red Cross( Article 5 ).
4. Contributing
to the efforts exerted to establish better relations among
people, strengthening bonds of friendship and propagating amity
and fraternity, enriching the human heritage in such a manner as
would root the spiritual and ethical values, promote solidarity
to defend human rights and protecting him, supporting the call
for justice and peace, and preventing the risks of war ( Article
6 ).
