Islamic Forum for International Humanitarian Law (IFIHL)
The Islamic Forum of International Humanitarian Law (based in Doha – Qatar), subsidiary organ of the Islamic Committee of International Crescent (ICIC), continues its activities aiming at strengthening respect of the International Humanitarian law (IHL) and the dissemination of its principles and rules in the light of the Islamic Shariaa, according to the annual program of work adopted by the ICIC meetings and implemented in cooperation with the social and scientific institutions in the Islamic world. This report presents the activities accomplished during the previous periode and those to be made in the coming period as follows:

First:  Establishment of the Forum:

The ICIC created the Forum as a specialized organ to publish and make known the international humanitarian law (IHL) and the Islamic Shariaa, based in the Qatari Red Crescent Society according to the understanding memo signed with it on 26/10/2002.

 The first scientific commission of (IHL) was nominated following the decision no 8/2002 of the ICIC chairman, as follows:

·        Dr.  Fawzi Ousseddik                       President.

·        Dr.  Mohamed H. Elasbali                Rapporteur.

·        Dr.  Ahmad  H. Al Hamadi               Member.

·        Dr.  Mohamed Ould Khabbaz           Member.

The scientific commission was reorganized on 23/1/2007 by the 22nd ICIC session held in Nouakchott as follows:

·        Dr.  Fawzi Ousseddik                       President.

·        Dr.  Mohamed  H. Elasbali               Rapporteur.

·        Al  Khalil Al Nahaoui                       Member.

·        Ibrahim Rasheed Musa                     Member.
